A couple of photos of the ship, The Columbia, from in front while waiting to board and from our hotel room this morning.
Say the girls off (there were tears) and then we took a drive down Chuckanut Drive to a restaurant (both from advice from Fred) where we had pan fried oysters for lunch. The ride was really great, winding road through the woods with nice sweepers and some tight turns. The oyseters were very good with a tarragon aioli sauce.
Then we came and waited to board. Mike and I were the first to board and Mike went the wrong way! LOL. They put us on a elevator with our bikes and then took us to an upper deck. Then they put us into a very tight corner. They put a lot of bikes in that space. Apparently we were supposed to bring tie-downs but neither Mike or I knew that. Fortunately, the ships crew were able to give us some and we strapped the bikes down. By the time we got that done, unloaded our bags and made it to our room, we were both pretty sweaty. Mike went to explore the boat and I got in the shower and cooled off.
Now we are sitting in the observation deck, waiting to leave. It is beginning to feel very real now.
